Switchboard Upgrade
Switchboard Upgrade
Your electrical switchboard acts as the control panel for your home electrical wiring. It is a critical part of your electrical wiring system that should not be overlooked.
Switchboards are responsible for safely managing short circuits, regulating power supply and holding safety switches.
Short circuits
Older switchboards are at higher risk of short circuiting due to dated components. This leaves greater risks to electrical shock and fuses catching fire. If you think your switchboard has replaceable wire on the fuses please do give us a call as this is a potential safety hazard.
Power supply issues
It is important your switchboard is able to cope with the demand of your appliances. Many older switchboards were not designed to cope with the demand of modern appliances; air-conditioners, fitness equipment, computers and pool pumps to name a few. If you notice any flickering or power tripping and your home is older, your switchboard could no longer be up to the task.
Safety Switches
Old switchboards were not fitted with safety switches in the past. Safety switches give the home owner the ability to cut off and restore power when required. When a faulty appliance is detected on a modern switchboard this triggers the safety switch to cut the power. Power can be restored at the flick of a switch.
If you think your switchboard upgrade is in need, give us a call today and one of our certified master electricians will be able to make it happen.
